The collective body of ideas about the
natural world are arrived at through observing, thinking,
experimenting and validating.
It is what is known as science. Early scientists were primarily
observers of natural happenings. Galileo was the pioneer of
modern science, who set up experiments and was active
participant. The technology of modern science changes rapidly.
But today's methods of observations, descriptions and analysis
are very much based on those device by Galileo in the
1500's.
